What is IDPA? |
|
| |
IDPA is a safe & fun shooting sport that emphasizes the use of Practical equipment to solve simulated "Real Life" scenarios. The main goal of IDPA is to test the skills and ability of the individual shooter. |

Who may participate in these matches? |
|
| |
Any "SAFE" shooter may participate in these matches!! We have shooters of all ages , shapes and sizes. We have shooters of all different skill levels from Novice to Master! |

What equipment do I need to participate? |
|
| |
You will need very little in the way of equipment: |
|
| |
1. A serviceable handgun of at least 9mm / .38special or larger caliber. |
|
| |
2. At least 3 magazines or speedloaders. |
|
| |
3. A strong side hip holster. |
|
| |
4. Eye and Ear Protection. |
|
| |
5. 100 Rounds of Ammunition |
|
| |
6. A good attitude and a willingness to have FUN!! |

Texas Tactical holds
four IDPA pistol matches
each month. The matches are held on two different ranges
in the Central Texas area. The first is the Cedar
Ridge Range it is North of San Antonio near
Bulverde. The second is the Austin
Rifle Club which is east of Austin. |
